The Review Engine: one ask, three reminders, done.

Then it shuts up.

When the job's done, your customer gets one text asking for a Google review. A reminder once a week for three weeks. Then it stops.

  • Your Google link in the text, for everyone.
  • A private form too, if something went wrong.
  • Stops after three, or when they reply STOP.

Example conversation. Names and offers are made up.

Four texts over three weeks.

Most people mean to leave a review and forget. The reminders are the polite nudge. Example texts below.

  1. Job done

Hi Linda, it's Your Business. Thanks for having us out. A minute for a Google review?

  2. +1 week

Quick reminder in case it got buried. Already left one? Thank you, ignore this.

  3. +2 weeks

Still on your list? Takes a minute, and it helps a lot.

  4. +3 weeks

Last reminder from me. Thanks either way.

  5. After that

    Silence.

One text, two ways to answer.

The first text

Thanks for having us out. If you have a minute: Google review link Something not right? Private form Reply STOP to opt out.

Everyone

Google review link.

It's in the text for every customer, happy or not. What they write is up to them.

Extra path

Private form.

For "something went wrong." It comes straight to you, so you can fix it. It never replaces the Google link.

We can't hide, delete or filter a review.

And we wouldn't.

No keeping unhappy customers off Google. No freebies for a review. No promise of a rating or a number of reviews. Getting the ask out is our part.

Google link for everyone

Questions.

What about bad reviews?

Anyone can post one and nobody can hide it. The text links to your Google page and the private form, so they can tell you, post on Google, or both.

Won't the reminders annoy people?

There are three, a week apart. Then it stops, or sooner if they reply STOP.

What if they already left a review?

The reminders thank them and say to ignore the text.

Which plan is it in?

Complete Foundation ($297 a month) and Growth. It is not in Starter, which is the website plus the quote-form text-back.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Don't trade anything for a review. It breaks Google's rules and it makes your reviews look fishy. We ask, and what people write is up to them.

Where do the replies go?

Into your inbox, like any other text.

See the review texts.
