Privacy policy

What we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and your choices. We do not sell personal information.

Who we are

Elvatio by Eliot Höpfner ("Elvatio", "we", "us") is based in Switzerland and builds websites and business systems for contractors and other local businesses in the United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have. It covers our website, our services and the text messages sent through our systems.

Two roles matter. For visitors to our own website and for our customers, we decide how the information is used. For the customers of our clients (for example a homeowner who texts a contractor), the client decides why the information is collected, and we handle it for them to run their systems.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number and business name, when you book a call, fill in a form or write to us.
  • Business information: your business details, trade, service area, images, logo and the content you send us during onboarding.
  • Payment information: payments go through Stripe. We receive confirmation of the payment, the plan and the billing contact, not your full card number.
  • Messages: the texts, emails and form entries that pass through the systems we set up, including the phone number of the person who wrote and the time of the message.
  • Usage and device data: pages viewed, browser type and approximate location. We use analytics only if you accept it in the cookie banner.
  • Information from our clients: names, phone numbers and job details of their customers, which the client uploads or that come in through their website.

How we use information

  • To provide, run and support the website and systems you signed up for.
  • To send the texts and emails you or your business set up (text-back, review requests, campaign texts).
  • To take payments, keep records and prevent fraud.
  • To answer your questions and to book and hold calls.
  • To improve our website and services and keep them secure.
  • To meet legal duties.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share information with service providers that help us run the services, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

  • Stripe, for payments and billing.
  • GoHighLevel and LeadConnector, the platform behind our inbox app, texting, calendar and CRM, and the carriers that deliver text messages.
  • Netlify, which hosts our website.
  • Email, calendar and support tools we use to run our business.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or in a sale or merger of our business. We share information about a client's customers with that client.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Text messages and your phone number

When you give your mobile number and agree to texts, we (or the business you contacted) use it to send the messages described in our SMS program terms. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time (or BYE for campaign texts) and HELP for help.

We do not share or sell mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, other than the providers that deliver the messages for us.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar tools. Strictly necessary ones make the site work. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner. The analytics tool is Google Analytics 4, with IP addresses anonymized and advertising features turned off. Nothing from Google loads until you click Accept. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer, and you can block cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of analytics.

How long we keep information

  • Customer account information: while you are a customer, and up to 7 years afterward for tax and accounting records.
  • Messages and contact records in a customer's account: while the account is active. After cancellation we delete them within 90 days unless the law requires us to keep them.
  • Call bookings and website form entries: up to 24 months, unless you become a customer.
  • Text opt-out records: as long as needed to make sure we do not text you again.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information: encrypted connections, access limited to people who need it, and providers with their own security programs. No system is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects you, we notify you as the law requires.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it);
  • limit the use of sensitive information (we do not use it beyond providing the services);
  • not be treated worse for using your rights.

To make a request, email info@elvatiodigital.com. We may need to confirm who you are. We answer within 45 days. If you are a customer of one of our clients, we may pass your request to that client. If you disagree with our answer, you can appeal by replying to it, and you can contact your state attorney general.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from people under 18. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We operate from Switzerland, and our providers process information in the United States and other countries. Information about US customers can therefore move between the US and Switzerland. Where the law requires it, we use contracts and other safeguards for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and email customers about material changes.
